Loudoun Valley won their January 21 game against cross-town rival Woodgrove by a score of 77-69. With the win, the Vikings improved to 15-0; the Wolverines fell to 7-6 on the year. Sophomore guard Jalen Williams’ 6-three pointers led him to a team-high 20 points. Williams’ fellow sophomore guards Jordan Williams and Dominic Peterson chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectively. The Vikings sank 12 triples, the Wolverines scored only one. It was a tight affair for the first half, and Valley was luck to get to the locker room with a 34-33 lead at halftime. The team pulled away in the third quarter, but struggled to put away Woodgrove in the fourth. Senior Prakash Ellis notched a game high 25 for the Wolverines.
