The Pep Rally this morning held some new surprises. It was showcased for the school play, Freaky Friday, which is out of the norm. Usually, pep rallies are held before sports games against Woodgrove or before school breaks.

The Pep Rally started off with the lights off, so the glow sticks the students were holding could stand out and get the school excited. Then, there was a game of freeze dance. Five students from every grade completed. The remaining dancer was a sophomore.

Spring sports competed in a relay race right after. The pairs had to scooter their way down to a table. At the table, they had to stack cups with one partner not being able to look and using the other partner’s hands. The last challenge was for the pairs to use their noses to latch onto cotton balls and put it into a pie plate. Lacrosse, track, drama, and soccer remained standing.

Next, the traditional game of musical chairs was played. No chairs were pulled out this time, and overall it was a pretty clean game. Daniel Soiland came out victorious for the seniors.

Then, the remaining spring sports pairs competed in their last activity, hungry hippos. One of the partners had to lie on a scooter and use a laundry bin to capture the balls in the middle of the court while the other partner directed. Caroline Bolen and Zach Franco from the track team won the competition.

Finally, the Pep Rally ended in the spirit stick contest. The freshmen, sophomores, and juniors were all very loud, but the sophomores were definitely the louder ones. However, the juniors won the new and improved stick.
