The varsity girls soccer team took on Heritage last Thursday night. The team will be losing seven seniors as well as senior manager Matt Thompson. The players shed a lot of tears as the seniors walked across the field for the last time. They have played a minimum of three years with the program and made an everlasting impact.

The Vikings beat the Pride in a tough 1-0 game that included goal by junior Savannah Harper and a clean sheet for varsity keepers Lakin Krisko and Allison Traub.

Allison Traub will be continuing her soccer career at the University of Tampa in the fall. As for the other seniors, their futures will be diverse. Natalie Walker will be attending West Virginia University studying sports and exercise psychology with hopes of becoming an athletic trainer, Rebecca Vernail will be attending the University of Pittsburgh undeclared but leaning towards international studies, Rachel Battiston will be attending the University of Mary Washington undeclared, Corrine Neaveill will be attending James Madison University studying communication sciences and disorders, Lakin Krisko will be attending Virginia Tech undeclared and Morgan Hesson and Matthew Thompson will be attending Radford University. Thompson will major in business, and Hesson is undeclared.
