Loudoun Valley Gymnastics Team Competes At Districts

On Jan. 30, the gymnastics team competed in the District meet hosted here at Valley. Every year there is a new theme for the meet that is chosen by the home team. This year’s theme was “fairytale”. The gym was decorated with colorful balloons, steamers and other small decorations. There was fairy dust on the Judges Table to add some extra sparkles. Heritage High School was our school’s number one competitor.

Loudoun Valley won first place in the gymnastics meet with a record-breaking amount of points: 144.425 points. Some of the top performers included Jenna Haran, Carly Snyder and Ashley Bannerton, who finished second, third and fourth respectively in the all-around competition. There were many other amazing performances from the rest of the team. The gymnastics team will travel to Heritage High School for the Regional 4A meet on Feb. 10.
