The NFL awards like Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, and Rookie of the year, are the most known awards in football. Every fan is thinking hard about who will win these prestigious awards. Certain positions/players don’t get enough spotlight though, with no awards emphasizing their success in the season. That’s where the abstract Nfl awards come in, putting the spotlight on the more forgotten players in the league.

Best offensive line- Indianapolis Colts:

The Colts have allowed zero sacks in half of the teams games this year. They’re on pace to have only allowed 16 sacks in total for the season. In the past they were notorious for letting their quarterback take a beating, but this year they are turning things around. TIed for first in the Nfl with 11 sacks allowed after week 12. Also the Colts offensive line is also helping their young running back core go to work. The Colts have two runners that are over 300 yards, and one other that’s right under that mark. Marlon Mack (556, 4 touchdowns), Jordan Wilkins (283, 1 touchdown), and Nyheim Hines (283, 1 touchdown). This offensive line has allowed these runners a comfortable introduction to the league with two of them (Wilkins and Hines) being rookies.

Worst Player- Nathan Peterman:

I don’t think this one is shocking anyone. There’s so many stats that show how bad Peterman really is, here’s a couple.

-Aaron Rodgers could throw 1,240 consecutive interceptions on 1,240 straight pass attempts and still have a better career TD to INT ratio than Nathan Peterman

-Nathan Peterman had a game where he threw three interceptions and zero touchdowns. This game caused his passer rating to go up from 20.8 to 30.7.

-Nathan Peterman would’ve finished his career with a better passer rating than what he had, if he had just spiked the ball into the ground on every pass attempt he had.

If these stats don’t convince you that Nathan Peterman is the worst player in Nfl history, I don’t know what will.

Best Comeback- Green Bay Packers, Week 1:

This award is hard to give being a Bears fan, but this comeback was unreal. In Chicago Aaron Rodgers went down in the first half with a knee injury it looked as if the Packers were going to have to deal with another year of Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines. Backup Deshone Kizer took the field and started to work his magic, this led to a 20-0 lead for the bears. This is when Aaron Rodgers came back into the field. Rodgers immediately got to work tossing a 39 yard touchdown to Geronimo Allison. He proceeded to throw a 12 yard touchdown to Davante Adams, and a 75 yard touchdown to Randall Cobb. The whole time it looked as if Rodgers was putting no pressure on his injured knee. In the end Rodgers helped the packers towards 24 unanswered points throwing for 370 yards and 3 touchdowns.
