Gymnastics District Tournament Preview

On Thursday, January 31st, the Loudoun Valley Varsity gymnastics team will be competing in the District Tournament at home against Woodgrove High School, Parkview High School, Dominion High School, Loudoun County High School, and Heritage High School. The team has had a fairly successful season, winning first place once at a January 5th Invitational, and second place five times. Because of the season’s apparent competitive nature, the District Tournament should be a close call.
“We’ve all been working really hard to perfect our routines for Thursday because first place is going to come down to a few tenths [of a point],” senior and gymnast Jillian Franz said.
