The class of ‘25 carried on a senior tradition on Saturday: painting the parking lot. The event started promptly at 10 a.m. on Sept. 7, and with a brief pause for the rain, continued on until daylight became scarce.
Those who participated submitted a design and were assigned a parking spot where they would begin their project.

Hi! My name is Avery Ramsey and I am in my senior year of high school here at Valley. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to podcasts and music. I cover a range of topics for the newspaper from opinion to news, and I enjoy the challenge of bouncing between styles. I also author the blog Valley Shelf Talk, where I talk about all things bookish. This year, I am excited to continue to improve my writing skills and continue writing for The Viking.
Hi, my name is Claire O’Connor and I’m a sophomore. This is my second year on staff and my first year as an editor. I’m an editor for both newspaper and yearbook (hint: newspaper is my favorite). I author the music blog Symphonic Saturday, that comes out 10 a.m. every other Saturday. Outside of writing and photography, I play softball, sing in Valley’s Chamber Choir and am a member of SCA, LVSI and Tri-M. I am partial to writing opinions and political news pieces, but write in just about all categories. Newspaper brings me so much joy and purpose, and I’m so excited to improve my skills in years to come with The Viking.
