After playing 18 holes, Junior Rory Tierny was thinking about the rest of the team’s performance.
Clearly his hopes became reality given that on Monday, Sept. 23, the golf team took home the District Champion title.
They competed against division schools and ended the match with a score of 321.
Junior Rory Tierney led the team in scoring, shooting a 77.
“I had a good drive down 18s the fairway and then I played it safe for my next shot,” Tierney said, “then chipped it up on the green so I was able to 2- putt and make par.”
The team will compete in regionals on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at South Riding Golf Club.
