From Nov. 18-22, we celebrate American Education Week when we give thanks for everyone who comes together to help students learn.
If you haven’t already written a thank you note to one or more of your teachers, you can still do so.
PEER has handed out cards to your homeroom teachers and will collect them at the end of the block.
American Education Week was first celebrated in 1921 when the National Education Association (NEA) Representative Assembly came together when people asked for one week set aside to celebrate school achievements.
Each day of the week is a different theme.
Monday- Kickoff Day
Tuesday- Family Day
Wednesday- Education Support Professionals Day
Thursday- Educator for a Day
Friday- Substitute Educators Day
