Senior Ben Demase’s original musical “The Gunslinger” will have its opening night tomorrow, May 23 at 7 p.m. in the Loudoun Valley auditorium. Tickets for adults and non-LCPS students are available for purchase online and at the event itself. As always, tickets are free for LCPS students.
“The Gunslinger” will be performed one more time on Saturday, May 24 at 7 p.m.
“There are always concerns that something will go wrong last minute, or I’ll overlook a prop, or a set piece, or any little detail. But at this point there’s just an electric feeling — a current I’m riding,” Demase said.
Since the beginning of the school year, Demase has been working on the show in some capacity — whether that was writing, composing or directing the piece. Tomorrow will be the culmination of months and months of work.
“It’s a little wild that this musical is happening,” he said. “But we’ve made it this far, and I’m just excited.”
