Field Day is an opportunity for students to have a break from their classes at the end of the year. There will be games, and sno cones and even a splash zone with water games.
If you choose to participate in the water games, it is recommended that you bring a change of clothes and even a towel so you can stay dry the rest of the day.
You can see the location of all the games and club stands on the morning announcement slides during homeroom.
If you want to support field day and your school, SCA is selling field day t-shirts in the Viking Head until Jun. 6. You can pick one up during lunch for only $10.
Field Day will take place Mon., Jun 9; however, if it rains it will be the following day, Jun. 10.
Like any morning activity, you do not have to participate. If you choose not to, you can stay inside. But if you choose to come out, there are no switching locations. Wherever you choose to be, you have to stay until students are dismissed back to classes.
“I think field day is going to be a lot of fun,” sophomore Myliah Roberts-Shaw said. “I feel like it gives students a good break from classes, especially because it’s the end of the year, and there’s going to be games and a lot to do, so I’m excited.”
