This Friday, Oct. 24, is a B rotation for club meetings. On B rotations, many of the clubs that meet are clubs formed around shared identity, such as the Muslim Student Association (MSA) or PRISM, a club for queer students. Identity clubs are founded by and for members of certain groups as a way to connect with peers and contribute to their communities.
These clubs are safe spaces for students who fit into the demographic the club caters to, where students can come together to connect with members of a shared community or those with shared experiences. Allies and friends are also invited to attend meetings for informative or educational purposes.
One of the clubs fitting in this category is MSA. The Muslim Student Association hosts meetings and events catered towards the Muslim members of the Loudoun Valley student body. MSA meets in room 302.
“I’m probably going to MSA on Friday,” sophomore Edem Kaudey said. “It’s a good space to hang out with your friends and connect.”
