Quarter one is officially coming to an end. Between study sessions, football games, PSATs and club meetings, quarter one flew by in a blur of chaos.
For most students, the start of the year brought a mix of excitement and pressure. Freshmen adjusting to what high school life is like, sophomores adjusting to the jump between freshman and sophomore year, juniors and seniors getting ready for college and trying to make it through high school.
As the quarter comes to an end, students are starting to reflect on their progress and what went good and what did not.
“It’s honestly insane how fast that this quarter flew by,” sophomore Shrinika Porandla said. “Honestly, there is a lot that I could do differently. Quarter one really did make me reflect on everything and I hope to start fresh in quarter two.”
But quarter one wasn’t only about grades. It was about adjusting to school again and learning to adapt to new classes, policies, and teachers.
“I think quarter one taught me a lot,” junior Diya Nawaz said. “It taught me how to recover from bad grades and how to adjust to all my classes.”
When quarter two begins, it will allow a new start and allow students to learn from their mistakes. They should take this time to reflect on how to improve and do better in quarter two. Even though the quarter is ending, the school year has just begun.
