The Valley chapter of the Muslim Student Association attended a county-wide event for students observing the religion of Islam. The event was hosted last week at Loudoun County High School, but students from numerous other schools were invited to participate.
Students had the opportunity to interact with peers of their shared faith, while there was food provided and a bonfire lit.
This comes as the MSA at Loudoun Valley has been rejuvenated lately by a much higher number of members compared to years past, which allows them to be more active in the spiritual and local community, as well as participate in activities such as these.
“The event was really fun,” Zahra Zandinejad said. “Seeing other Muslim people made me feel really comfortable.”
