Patrick Stevenson, Editor
Hi, I’m Patrick Stevenson. I’m an 11th grader here at Loudoun Valley High School. This is my third year as a staff reporter on the newspaper.
I’m part of the Model UN team here at Loudoun Valley and have also played soccer for Valley in my freshman and sophomore years. I always wanted to take newspaper due to its quick turnarounds and fast-paced writing. I like to write about anything sports, whether it’s reviewing the past season or looking ahead to the new one. I tend to write mostly sports pieces for the newspaper.
Outside of school, I love anything sports-related. I’ll enjoy playing football, basketball, soccer, baseball or tennis with friends or family. I also dabble in sports trivia, from football stats to breaking news. I cover it all.
I’m also a pretty big sneakerhead. I like staying up to date with all the new releases, betting my luck on the Nike SNKRS app and once in a while splurging on a shoe.
In the future, I hope to seek a career in the journalism field, with aspirations of working at ESPN or at the Washington Post in their sports department. My dream would be to work with college football and basketball, covering both March Madness and the College Football Playoffs. I’ve grown up on both of those events and have come to love them so much, so it would be crazy to get involved with the coverage somehow.
